6 Month Support Programme

Each tailor-made programme runs over six months, for a maximum of 25 people, and incorporates three steps:



Step One – Month One:
On signing up, participants will submit a summary of their current position, what they would like to achieve and their current CV. During the first month, each participant will have two one hour discussions with a facilitator by telephone. The facilitators will work with each participant to develop the basis for an action plan. This information will be used to tailor step two, the residential programme in Marrakech.

Step Two – Month Two:
A 3.5 day interactive residential course will be held in in Marrakech, The sessions will include one-to-ones and interactive small groups, using the unique environment of Marrakech as an integral part of the training and support.
Step Three – Months Three–Six:
Each participant will receive15 Not Out “units” based on a menu to support the implementation of each participant’s personal action plan and enable follow up to skills learnt in Step two. Units are calculated on the following basis:
  • Telephone coaching – 1 unit per hour
  • Face to face coaching – 2 units per hour
  • Half day action learning sets [where participants set the agenda working in groups of maximum 10] – 5 units per set

  • Coping in times of economic uncertainty and downsizing
  • Personal productivity
  • Unlocking personal creativity
  • Identifying strengths
  • Clarifying preferences for balancing work and personal priorities
How to make an impact and develop relationships
  • Speaking with confidence/self-marketing/effective networking
  • Profile building, including CV writing and interview techniques
  • Turning contacts into clients and referrers
  • Building, strengthening and developing long term relationships
Structured implementation of your ideas
  • Working with recruitment consultants
  • How to approach the employment market
  • Interim management
  • Opportunities in the not-for-profit sector and non-executive directorships
  • Entrepreneurship & self-employment: including buying a business/starting a business/raising capital; tax & pension considerations
Outcome
  • Developing an action plan with SMART targets
